We had ICE Age, STONE Age and now we are in SCAM Age…!

This year The South West monsoon failed but we had a torrent towards North East!

POLITICS: 

·          Aryabhatta invented zero in 400 B.C. Zero is rediscovered in bulk by CAG in 2010 -2012 A.D.!

·           Kanda’s misdemeanors are enough to write several Kaand’s like Ramayana or Mahabharath!

·          Meena Kumari’s classic, ‘Mein Chup Rahungi’ has staged several comebacks retitled, ‘Mein Chup Rahunga!’ with same actor in all comeback films!

·          Coal can blacken face, reputations etc. May not be the case in India!

·         Mitt Romney selected a running mate Paul Ryan and made a gaffe calling him the next President! Nervousness or sign of things to come?

BOLLYWOOD:

·         Only the celluloid Tigers matter in India, the real ones are dying across zoos, dwindling or killed at random. Even Supreme Court can’t do much in this regard!

·         How about parting with some of the profits to save the real ones, Tiger Sallu bhai?

SPORTS:

·          Saviour, Crisis man for all times, VVS, cannot retire in front of home crowd after playing for 17 years! Selectors humiliate him by choosing for only two tests!

·          VVS Laxman retires not having played a single World Cup match! This speaks volumes about cockeyed selectors!

·         Hear this….Rahul Dravid may not get Khel Rathna as BCCI mucks up, deliberately or otherwise, in giving details  of Dravid to Sports Ministry. Not surprising at all!!

·         Thanks to Mary Khom, Delhi now knows there is a place called North East in India!

·         Two Hockey Associations ‘Hockey India’ and Indian Hockey Federation’ working at cross purposes are located in same building in Delhi! As a first cleaning up act, How about dismantling them Mr. Maken?

ROAD SAFETY:

·         Way to go! Goa makes helmets compulsory for Rider and Pilion..Wonderful! Why can’t the Center make the Rule all over India?

ECONOMICS:

·         Steel Minister Beni Prasad Verma  has a simple theory on Economics : ‘Inflation will help farmers’! The Prime Minister should at least resign over this baffling theory of his steal Minister!

HEALTH:

·         Naani’s Health Tips: Seegekayi, in Kannada ,Acacia Concinna is still the best thing to wash your hair  no matter what the shampoos scream on their labels!

·         Warbler’s Weekly call: L  Former Chief Ministers are touring all over Karnataka for spot assessment of drought and relief measures by simply burning money..   Government should cancel such useless ego-boosting trips and divert the Funds thus saved for the needy. J

·         Has Advani done hara-kiri by predicting PM won’t be from BJP or Congress? Congress is not saying this!

·         Advaniji making controversial statements by the hour…! What’s happening to him..?

SEXES:

·         Now a new threat to girls wearing Jeans.. Acid attack! At this rate we can disband Army and hand it over to Rama sene, Khaps and Local Talibans to handle security!

COURTS:

·          Nanda who killed half a dozen while drunken driving gets community service as punishment!  No Comments!

SPORTS:

·          Is Indian Team playing hockey or Hookey?!

·         Frankly it looks like two different Olympics when we see our players perform and Sportspersons from other countries perform..! Where are we going wrong Mr. Maken?

·         Ideology-driven China and free-market driven US reap Olympic medals. Ham na ghar ka na ghaat ka!

·         Are we a Nation of just couch-potatoes, mouse-potatoes and overweight plain potatoes…!

HEALTH:

·         Carrots together with alfalfa greens are the richest food for Vitamin A to take care of your eyes.

Naani’s Health Tips: After the meals, take one piece of Clove (Laung) and suck on it slowly.  This not only gives instantaneous relief but also helps in reducing the onslaught of diseases arising out of acidity…..

Warbler’s Weekly call: Maken saab! ;-)  Get Gopichand, Geet Sethi, Milka Singh, P.T. Usha on the board to plan for 2020 Olympics..Otherwise, with Babus and Old M.P.s running the Indian will continue to languish at the bottom, for sure.. :-)
